No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. I will be with you, just as I was with Moses. I will not leave you or abandon you. Joshua 1:5

FIRST ANNUAL RETREAT

This April marks one year since we launched The Joshua Project mentoring program —and what a journey it’s been!

What started with lunch hour hangouts for a local mechanics class quickly grew into a full mentorship program. Led by Mentorship Director Chris Robertson, with support from Eric Fragoso, Aaron Collins, and Executive Director Daren Neely, we began meeting twice a month to build Christ-centered relationships and teach what it means to be a man of integrity, honor, and faith.

Using the Better Man curriculum, our group grew from 12 to 40 young men by the end of 2024. One accepted Christ, and we helped another young man’s family stay together through housing and job support. We also celebrated the birth of a baby girl to one of our mentees—an unforgettable milestone. Thanks to The Met Church, we’ve had a safe space to meet, and through the year, the guys have shared meals, opened up, played together, and formed real community. Fun outings like Go-Karting, Main Event, and family nights helped deepen those bonds.

We ended the year with a celebratory camping retreat—a goal the mentees set and earned. For many, it was their first time camping. They fished, roasted marshmallows, had deep conversations, and four attended church the next weekend.None of this would be possible without your support. Thank you for helping us empower, equip, and uplift young men aging out of foster care. We’re already planning our 2nd Annual Retreat and can’t wait to see what God does next!

We aim to empower, equip, and enrich the lives of young men aging out of foster care by providing mentorship, holistic care, and a home to call their own.
